Vera Audio M1600 Monoblock combines massive power with exceptionally low distortion. Perfect for those who need high output and pure, transparent sound reproduction.

In true Vera Audio spirit, great emphasis has been placed on cooling. The modules are mounted vertically against large heatsinks, which, together with ventilation openings on the top and bottom, ensure efficient cooling of critical components—resulting in long-term reliability and a long lifespan.

The monoblock is fully differential/balanced with an XLR input, and we have developed a dedicated buffer stage with outstanding measurement performance. The M1600 features both traditional speaker terminals and a Speakon connector, as well as a trigger input. A main power switch is located on the rear panel, while the front has a standby button with LED illumination—orange in standby and blue when powered on. Both LEDs emit a soft, pleasant light.

With the M1600, you'll experience power and control capable of driving virtually any speaker, combined with clean, detailed reproduction—a combination rarely found, especially in this price range.

Measurements

We have run full power sweeps on the Hypex NC2K amplifier module and SMPS3K power supply the M1600 is built around, using an Audio Precision analyzer – 1 kHz, 22.4 kHz bandwidth, from 20 mW up to the amplifier's power limit. Measured into 4 Ω:

PowerTHD+N
10 W~0.001 %
100 W~0.003 %
200 W~0.006 %

These figures are measured on the amplifier module itself, before Vera Audio's input buffer. The buffer adds a small but real contribution to noise and distortion.

The graph below shows THD+N vs. frequency at 10 W into 4 Ω (22.4 kHz bandwidth). The M1600 is the curve labelled NC2K/SMPS3K, shown alongside two reference amplifiers.

The M1600 stays flat at around 0.0008 % from 20 Hz up to roughly 3 kHz. Above that it rises slightly, and one of the references measures marginally lower in the top octaves – both are so far below audibility that the difference is academic.

Note that the apparent drop above roughly 10 kHz is an artifact of the measurement setup: the harmonics start falling outside the 22.4 kHz analysis window, so distortion is not genuinely lower there.

Wideband FFT – the M1600 is again the orange curve:

Note that the M1600 requires a C19 power cord. A 1.8m long cable with 3×1.5mm² is included.

In order to take full advantage of the power output, the amplifier needs to be connected to a 16A/230V or 25A/110V circuit. A smaller circuit can be used but will limit the amplifier's power output, and the circuit may shut down if overloaded.
